Fiscalization
Find quick answers to the most common questions about fiscalization, fiscal printers and cash registers.
-
A cash register works independently, while a fiscal printer must be connected to a device (e.g. a laptop) and appropriate software — such as the Paragony.pl module in Fakturownia. With a fiscal printer and a Fakturownia account, you have more possibilities — you can issue invoices, e-receipts and stay up to date with current stock levels.
-
No, because cash registers work independently, no integration is needed. However, it is worth noting that with the Pospay Online device, you can print a paper fiscal receipt after integrating with the Paragony.pl module.
-
Yes, most modern fiscal printers allow generating e-receipts that can be sent to customers electronically.
-
Yes, a fiscal printer must be connected to appropriate software, such as the Paragony.pl module in Fakturownia, because the printer itself does not work autonomously. Unlike a cash register which can function independently, a fiscal printer is merely a device that records and prints fiscal receipts. To conduct sales and issue receipts, the fiscal printer must be integrated with software that processes sales data and sends it to the printer for fiscalization.
-
Data stored on a fiscal printer includes:
- Fiscal receipts containing sales amounts, VAT tax, type of goods or services sold, date and time of transaction.
- Daily report with a summary of all transactions from a given day, which must be generated after the end of sales.
- Unique device number stored in fiscal memory.
- Seller's tax ID number.
Receipts Module
See what customers most often ask when they want to activate the Paragony.pl module in Fakturownia.
-
The Paragony.pl module is an add-on to Fakturownia that allows you to print receipts and invoices directly from your Fakturownia account, from anywhere with internet access. Simply download the add-on from your Fakturownia account and integrate it with a fiscal printer compatible with our system. That's it — you can start issuing receipts right away!
-
All of them. The Paragony.pl module works in every industry where you need to issue a receipt for the purchase of goods or services.
-
These are two separate products, so payments must be made separately. Having a paid Fakturownia account does not include access to the Paragony.pl module add-on.
-
Receipts created through online store integration can be automatically fiscalized — you can find the configuration instructions here. Other receipts (created manually / imported from file) can be submitted for fiscalization manually by selecting Print > Fiscal print or in bulk by selecting documents on the receipt list. Fiscalization via API is also possible — find an example command in our documentation.
e-Receipts
Thinking about introducing e-receipts? See what others ask and clear your doubts.

-
Yes, an e-receipt is accepted in return, complaint and exchange processes just like the paper version. According to the applicable regulations, for sales confirmed by an electronic receipt, the returns register must include the receipt number and the unique number of the fiscal printer.
-
Yes, e-receipts issued in Fakturownia meet legal requirements. The sale is recorded on the fiscal printer, which sends the electronic receipt data to the server. The customer receives a link containing the receipt visualization along with fiscal data in JSON format.
E-receipts are also GDPR compliant. To issue an e-receipt, only the customer's email address is needed, which is not printed on the receipt, similar to paper receipts. -
Yes, after activating the e-Receipt service on your Fakturownia account, the option to issue e-receipts will appear in your account. Just remember to update the Paragony.pl module to the latest version and have an appropriate fiscal printer.
-
You can send the e-receipt to the customer by email, directly from the Fakturownia system. Just remember to obtain the customer's email address beforehand and enter it in the buyer data on the receipt.
-
Yes, according to regulations, the customer must give such consent. This can be, for example, verbal consent during in-store sales or acceptance of terms and conditions containing an appropriate provision.
-

-
Yes, however, to issue an e-receipt you will need to obtain the customer's email address.
-
No, this is not possible. If the printer is to print a paper receipt instead of an e-receipt, the appropriate option must be selected at the time of submitting for fiscalization. Of course, after issuing an e-receipt, you can download it in PDF format, which contains the receipt visualization and a link to the fiscal data in JSON.
